Pastor Abraham has an ecstatic joy in seeing others come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Outreach department exists to equip The Resting Place for the work of Evangelism and to lead the Church to reach a hurting world as our Lord Jesus Christ did: by being moved with compassion.
We have a two part goal. First is to lead and equip in-house leaders and ministries of The Resting Place Family that are evangelistic in nature. Our second goal is to cultivate relationships and provide support by partnering with external ministries and organizations that are already involved in impacting communities.

A love reach is the action of going out and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world by actions of love; which include preaching the good news, feeding the hungry, praying for the sick, clothing the naked, and providing for those in need.

A PLACE OF HOPE AND HELP
Step into our Provision Room, a compassionate haven for mothers in need, where we provide free baby formula to ensure every child receives the essential nourishment they deserve. This nurturing space is dedicated to supporting mothers facing challenges, offering a dignified and welcoming environment where they can access vital resources without hesitation. Embodying the spirit of community, the Provision Room is a testament to our commitment to fostering a caring and inclusive environment for families to thrive.
JUST INITIATIVE
ENDING CHILD HOMELESSNESS
Join us in our transformative journey as we partner with Just Initiative to bring their vision to life. Their vision is centered on thriving neighborhoods where community flourishes, suffering is alleviated, and poverty is eradicated. At the core of their mission is the commitment to building bridges across racial and economic divides. They aspire to create pathways out of poverty by reflecting the love of God in tangible ways. Their values—Faith, Identity, Justice, Housing, Education, and Community—are the guiding principles that shape their actions.
Join us at the Petra House in our monthly outreaches, or their weekly support of families on Monday nights in the Ybor/Seminole Heights area.
STEADFAST MENTORING
Juvenile Justice and Foster Care Ministry
Having suffered overwhelming circumstances of abuse, abandonment, sex trafficking and other extreme family dysfunction, youth are placed in juvenile justice or foster care residential programs to receive intense therapy, life skills, and educational services for up to a year or more.
Youth in foster care and juvenile justice programs are disproportionately victims of the most horrendous acts – often by the adults who should have been protecting and caring for them. Broken in the course of relationships, they can only be healed through relationships. Steadfast connects these precious children to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ through caring.
Bi-weekly mentoring for boy in the foster system called, “My Brother’s Keeper”: Wednesdays at 6:30 PM
Weekly Mentoring in the Juvenile Justice System (Tuesday and Thursdays at 6PM, Saturdays at 9AM and 11AM) and Bi-Monthly Pancake Breakfasts
Weekly Mentoring for girls in the foster system on Sunday nights at 4PM called, “Live Out Loud”

Lovingly referred to as “Joy Apostles,” Georgian and Winnie Cóco Banov are a radical team with a powerful message. Boldly declaring the finished work of the Cross, their teaching and ministry are full of God’s loving, joyful presence, bringing healing and changing lives. They are dedicated to hosting evangelistic missionary crusades and conferences, rescuing and caring for trafficked and at-risk children, helping marginalized impoverished communities and training ministry students and leaders.

We have the honor to support and partner with an organization called God Adores You. This organization is neither affirming or non-affirming position on the LGBTQ+. God Adores You partners with many churches and gather as one with the purpose of sharing good news. This movement of love is for all who have ever felt like a misfit or who has been rejected. Our desire is that everyone will experience the magnitude of the love of God.
