WHY WE EXIST

The lost to be found

God is not mad at you, He is madly in love with you. You may think you’re worthless, but you’ve been wrong before. Jesus Christ, the One True God, thinks you are to die for.

The found to be free

Jesus did not just come to forgive you, He came to set you free! We believe that any measure of bondage in the life of the Believer is illegal according to the Finished Work of Christ.

Peace to reign

We are called to bring the “shalom” of Heaven to our region. Shalom is the Hebrew word for “peace” and it means nothing missing or lacking. We are on mission until our region looks like Heaven.

Because Jesus is Lord of all!

Everything we do is to magnify the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is the one true God and we have are completely devoted to His ways, His works and His plans for Tampa Bay.

A resting place for god, a wake up for his people

We are a church family marked by authenticity, courageous love, Spirit-led challenge, and deep security. We create space for people to encounter the real Jesus, not a religious imitation of Him. Here, people are welcomed honestly, loved deeply, challenged faithfully, and empowered to walk free. We hope you will rest your heart and wake your soul with us.

Weekly Worship Gatherings

We gather for one singular purpose: to encounter Jesus together.

At The Resting Place, you will find weekly worship gatherings where we host the presence of God and encounter Jesus together. The goal is knowing Him and the power of His resurrection. We expect to encounter God in such a way that we are transformed ever more into his image on the earth!

Small Groups

We see small groups as a pillar of the church.

We believe in the power of fellowship to build community and sharpen and mature us as followers of Christ. The Resting Place offers small groups in varying locations for you to get plugged into a community of believers that will come alongside you, pray for you, and call out your destiny.

Prayer

We believe in the power of intercessory prayer.

That’s why we have a dedicated prayer team at every campus to pray with you after each gathering. You can also send in prayer requests at any time by filling out a virtual or in-person connect card and our team will faithfully lift up your prayers.

MINISTRIES

TRP KIDS

We exist for kids to practice hearing the Holy Spirit, be filled with wisdom, and to understand the love of God. Each gathering is safe, spirit-led and super fun place for kids to grow in their love for the Lord!

TRP YOUTH

TRP Youth exists to shepherd the next generation to love like Jesus and exalt Him in everything. Bring your 6th-12th graders every Monday from 6:30 – 8:30 PM for worship, games and teaching.

RECOVERY CHURCH

Recovery Church Movement is a safe place to lay down addictions, behaviors and lean into a family that cares about your recovery. Break the patterns that have controlled your life for too long. Receive behavior tools, healing and a deeper relationship with the Lord.

PROVISION MINISTRY

We exists to be a conduit of God’s provision for our community. In the United States, about 1 in 8 households experiences food insecurity, which includes many mothers who may struggle to provide sufficient nutrition for their children, including baby formula. Through the Provision Ministry, we have been able to provide support to hundreds of families in the community, as well as support local organizations who support moms and families.
