WHY WE EXIST

The lost to be found

We want every person who does not know God to understand something vital. God is not mad at you, He is madly in love with you. You may think you’re worthless, but you’ve been wrong before. Jesus Christ, the One True God, thinks you are to die for. We would love to introduce you to the God of Love today!

The found to be free

Jesus did not just come to forgive you, He came to set you free! We believe that any measure of bondage in the life of the Believer is illegal according to the Finished Work of Christ. God wants you to have life and life abundantly every day you are on this earth! We want to see His kingdom come, His will be done in your life as it is in heaven.

Peace to reign

Blessed are the peacemakers. We are called to bring the “shalom” of Heaven to our region. Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace and it means nothing missing or lacking. We are rising up to be those who fill in the gaps and making every low place high and every crooked path straight. We want our region to look like Heaven and therefore hasten the day of the Lord’s return.

Because Jesus is Lord of all!

Everything we do is to magnify the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is the one true God and we have are completely devoted to His ways, His works and His plan for us. We believe that He is the desire of the nations and we want to proclaim His goodness and finished work to everyone in Tampa Bay.

The Resting Place started with a clear call from God on Caleb and Jamaris Hyers for the future of Tampa Bay. The church’s first campus was planted in Tampa in 2018, and since then, we have seen the Lord expand us to multiple campuses with so many finding Jesus and the freedom that comes with The Kingdom of God. We would love to meet you at a gathering and empower you to be a culture-shaper in the Tampa Bay Region or wherever your journey may take you. Watch this short video to learn more!

Here's what we do

As a church, we believe deeply in the power of corporate worship and community to encounter Jesus as a family, so at every campus you will find weekly worship gatherings, life groups, and prayer.

Weekly Worship Gatherings

We gather for one singular purpose: to encounter Jesus together.

At every Resting Place campus, you will find weekly worship gatherings where we host the presence of God and encounter Jesus together. The goal is knowing Him and the power of His resurrection. We expect to encounter God in such a way that we are transformed ever more into his image on the earth!

Small Groups

We see small groups as a pillar of the church.

We believe in the power of fellowship to build community and sharpen and mature us as followers of Christ. Each Resting Place campus offers small groups in varying locations for you to get plugged into a community of believers that will come alongside you, pray for you, and call out your destiny.

Prayer

We believe in the power of intercessory prayer.

That’s why we have a dedicated prayer team at every campus to pray with you after each gathering. You can also send in prayer requests at any time by filling out a virtual or in-person connect card and our team will faithfully lift up your prayers.

MINISTRIES

TRP KIDS

We exist for kids to practice hearing the Holy Spirit, be filled with wisdom, and to understand the love of God. Each gathering is safe, spirit-led and super fun place for kids to grow in their love for the Lord!

Jesus Lab Supernatural School of Ministry

Are you looking for your next step with Jesus? The Jesus Lab is a facilitated encounter with the finished work of Jesus Christ. This is your next step to discovering more of Heaven on Earth! We are currently accepting applications for our 2021-2022 school year.

TRP TV

An online discipleship community for lovers of Jesus who want to discover more of Christ and their identity in Him. Content for discipleship, spiritual, and personal growth that aligns with the finished work of Christ in the form of a growing library of topics!
